Our Mission
Catholic Urban Programs advances the dignity of the human person, remediates the effects of poverty, and empowers people to become self-sufficient through crisis intervention, housing security, and out of school time programs.
Self-Sufficiency
At Catholic Urban Programs we believe that every person is made in the image and likeness of God and that we all have a unique set of gifts and talents that we are meant to share for the betterment of our families, communities, and our world.
We walk with people experiencing poverty using Two Feet of Love in Action. With one foot we respond to immediate needs and crisis situations such as feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless. The second foot calls us to social justice – removing the root causes of poverty and improving structures that perpetuate the cycle.
